I began my career as a young actor, starring as Peter Burnford in Disney’s Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey 1 & 2. I guest starred in TV shows and films including Cheers, The Prime Gig, and Harry and the Hendersons before studying filmmaking at the USC School of Cinema & Television.

I honed his skills as a director and writer by creating some of the most impactful and popular trailers of the last two decades. Some of my latest work includes trailers for Apple’s The Reluctant Traveler, Amazon’s VAL and Otter Range, Sony’s Bullet Train, and Netflix’s 6Underground. Theatrical trailers for Tron, Harry Potter, The Watchmen, and Whale Rider are just a few more examples of the over one hundred successful movie campaigns I have worked on. With CLIO awards and GOLDEN TRAILER awards my career as trailer editor found me working with virtually every major studio and has given me experience in a wide variety of genres, gaining insight into the nuts and bolts of how to tell a great story. I currently edit for my own company Evolver Creative in Los Angeles.

I directed the award winning short film Penny which played at over 25 film festivals. The film stars Reginald Vel-Johnson, Don Stark and Lance Barber and reflects his penchant for magical realism. I also directed the short film The Secret Admirer.

Amazing Animals, a 20 episode kids series Ihe co-created  for National Geographic won the Cynopsis Kids !magination Award for best interstitial series. The series along with two others for NatGeo have been featured on NatGeoKids channel, FoxMundo and DisneyPlus.

As a screenwriter together with my writing partner Andrew Levine I was commissioned to adapt the best selling book series Mysteries In Our National Parks by National Geographic. Our latest collaborations include Otter Space an animated feature film was a TOP 5 Finalist in the 2020 Final Draft Big Break Awards and recently turned into a 10 episode narrative podcast which I directed. Thall and Levine’s previous script White Elephant was also a TOP 5 Finalist in 2019, selected among thousands of entries.

I run my own production company and advertising agency Evolver Creative. With a client roster that includes AppleStudios, RedBullStudios, NBCUniversal, Warner Brothers, National Geographic, FilmDistrict and Disney. A highlight for Evolver Creative was completing a documentary for Universal Studios and Steven Spielberg on his 1975 classic film Jaws.

For over 20 years I have donated my time to the “Young Storytellers Foundation” which mentors at risk youth in the Los Angeles public school system.

I live in Los Angeles with my wife Amy Huth and our goldendoodle Twila.
